Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel assignment in Accomac, VA. You will work under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, assist with exercises, and educate patients for home programs. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and strong clinical support.

Essential requirements include an active PTA license and BLS certification. Preferred candidates may have completed an accredited PTA program and welcome new grads.

Qualifications

• Valid PTA license per state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification required.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist PTs with implementing treatment plans to improve mobility.
• Provide hands-on therapy, exercises, and ADL training.
• Document progress and communicate with the care team.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs for recovery.
• Maintain a safe, clean treatment environment per standards.
• Coordinate care with PTs, OTs, and other professionals.
