Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Castro Valley, California. The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and support patient mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• PTA license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (preferred).
• New grads welcome to apply (considered).

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring devices and supplies are ready for patient sessions.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises to improve mobility and strength.
• Observe patient performance and report progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Record patient treatment details and progress in the medical record.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility.
