Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 14-week travel assignment in Salinas, California. The PTA will support a Physical Therapist, implement treatment plans, and help patients improve mobility and independence throughout the clinical care continuum.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring devices and supplies are ready for patient sessions.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities to improve mobility and balance with hands-on assistance as needed.
• Observe patient performance and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately record patient treatment details and progress in the medical record.
