Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week assignment in a Long Term Care facility in Ada, OK. Day shift, 8 hours, with start times between 6 AM and 10 AM; no weekends.

You will provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment under PT supervision, document progress, and participate in care conferences and trainings.

New grads may apply if Level II clinical experience has been completed; a reference is required at time of consideration.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license required
• Minimum 1 year PTA experience
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New grads considered if Level II clinical experience completed
• One reference required at time of consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required

Responsibilities

• Long Term Care facility within the Physical Therapy unit
• Day shift, 8 hours, Monday through Friday with flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment
• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients under PT supervision
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT
• Document treatment and patient records in the electronic system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences and facility trainings
• Support and supervise PTA students under PT guidance
• Adhere to APTA and state practice standards and codes of conduct
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
