Job summary

This Traveling Physical Therapist Assistant role requires nationwide travel for 13‑week assignments, delivering therapy under a Licensed Physical Therapist to facilitate independence and improved function.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
• Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide for 13 week assignments and provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Deliver rehab services in accordance with a plan of care and ensure timely documentation of services.
• Work with rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities aligned with patient needs and capabilities.
• Assist the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in therapy skills under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain timely documentation for all patients treated and ensure equipment is cleaned and reported for repair as needed.
• Put patient service first by delivering high-quality care in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
• Implement a patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provide a range of physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercise, gait training, manual therapy, and assistive techniques.

Education
