Job summary

Sage GroupHealthCare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a travel contract in Jasper, TX. The assignment is full-time and 13 weeks in length, with a $1600 weekly gross pay and travel/housing stipend available for eligible travelers.

Must have PTA license for the state or a compact license, 2+ years PTA experience, and LTC experience preferred. BLS is preferred. Start date ASAP.

Qualifications

• PTA license for the state applying or Compact license required.
• 2+ years PTA experience required.
• LTC experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of physical therapists, treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions.
• Record patient progress and report results of treatments to the physical therapist.
• Implement components of patient care, obtain data related to treatments, and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary.
• Assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals and help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups.
• Work directly with the Physical Therapist to assist patients and keep the therapy area clean and organized.
