Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Ennis, Texas. Start date is 10/05/2026 for 13 weeks, with 36 hours guaranteed per week on a day shift in a LTAC nursing home setting.

Responsibilities include providing PTA services under supervision of a licensed PT, executing treatment plans, assisting with ADLs, and ensuring patient safety and progress documentation. LTAC or skilled nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Texas.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting required.
• Experience in LTAC or skilled nursing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under supervision of a licensed physical therapist in LTAC.
• Implement treatment plans via therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance and coordination activities, ROM and strength programs.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility, including transfers and adaptive equipment use.
• Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to supervising PT.
• Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment and ensure infection control.
