Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Danville, VA. The PTA works under a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, help improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote independence in patients.

You will perform exercises, monitor progress, document care, and coordinate with the healthcare team while enjoying competitive weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and dedicated clinical support.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsabilités

• Set up therapy areas and equipment, ensuring devices are ready for sessions
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises to improve mobility and strength
• Document patient treatment details and progress in the medical record
• Instruct patients/caregivers on home exercise programs and safety
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in discharge planning and transitions to community or home care
• Engage in QA and professional development to stay current with best practices
