Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Danville, IL, to support patient mobility and functional independence under a Physical Therapist supervision. The PTA will implement treatment plans, document progress, and educate patients on home programs while collaborating with therapists and other care team members to ensure patient

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Responsibilities

• Set up therapy areas and equipment, ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient sessions
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises to improve mobility and strength
• Observe performance, document progress, and report changes to supervising PT
• Record treatment details accurately in the medical record
• Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs
• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, and other professionals in comprehensive care
• Maintain safe environment, follow infection control and safety standards
• Participate in quality assurance and ongoing professional development
• Assist in discharge planning for continuity of care
• Perform other duties within scope as needed
