Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Arlington, Massachusetts. The PTA will support physical therapists, implement treatment plans, and help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence in diverse clinical settings.

Required qualifications include an active PTA license and current BLS certification. Preferred candidates include graduates of an accredited PTA program; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license (state-appropriate)
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans
• Provide hands-on assistance with exercises, modalities, and ADLs
• Document patient progress and adjust as needed in medical records
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs
• Collaborate with healthcare team to support patient recovery
• Maintain safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control
• Engage in quality assurance and professional development
• Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
