Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Hickory, NC seeks a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. The PT will evaluate and develop a plan of care across acute care, collaborating with a dedicated clinical team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional backgrounds), BLS, and state licensure. The role features 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and travel-friendly benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines and state/insurer requirements.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.
• Use and understand adaptive equipment as needed.
• Document timely and accurately per state and insurance guidelines.
