Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Birmingham, Alabama. The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care, supervising PTAs and staff, and interfacing with physicians to ensure coordinated care.

Requirements include 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered), BLS, and state licensing. Responsibilities include documentation, use of hospital systems, and adherence to board regulations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience required; exceptional candidates may have 6 months.
• BLS certification and state-specific licensing required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as indicated by patient condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems and document according to guidelines.
