Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Augusta, Georgia. This 13-week, 40-hour per week role requires the PT to evaluate and implement a plan of care in the acute care setting.

Responsibilities include supervising PTAs, billing per setting guidelines, and ensuring regulatory compliance. New grads may apply with BLS and state licensing; ABPTS and additional certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• BLS, ABPTS, 2 Years; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility.
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify plan of care as indicated by patient condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems and provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
