Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Augusta, Georgia. The role is a 13-week assignment, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour day shifts. Start date is 10/19/2026, and a 1-year experience is preferred; new grads may apply.

The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute plans of care in the acute care setting, supervise PTAs, bill per guidelines, and coordinate with medical staff to deliver team-based care while maintaining proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of PT experience; new grads may apply.
• BLS certification and state-specific licensing required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Augusta, GA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

TasksAs a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

RequirementsMust have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
