Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift assignment in Detroit, MI. The role requires MI RN license, BSN, and strong cardiac skills.

Position is on a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, three 12-hour nights, and some weekends/holidays. Inpatient PCU care, cardiac monitoring, and potential floating to a nearby sister hospital are included.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with BSN.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care experience.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to formulate care plans.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and healthcare team.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Responsibilities

• Position is on an inpatient Progressive Care Unit floor.
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, including post-procedural cardiac patients.
• Experience with cardiac progressive drips and dressing changes required.
• Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Every other weekend and some holiday rotation required.
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required.
• Complete and pass required online modules prior to assignment start.
• Teamwork and leadership are expected in coordinating patient care.
• Must report to lab for drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment.
• Background check and drug screening results can take up to 2 weeks to process.
