Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for an LTAC travel assignment in Kingsburg, California. Start date 10/12/2026 for 13 weeks.

Weekly pay is $1,595–$1,670 with 35 guaranteed hours and 5x8 shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. As part of a skilled nursing LTAC team you will assist the supervising physical therapist, implement therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, document changes, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an LTAC/SNF setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment.
• Availability to work the posted shift schedule.
• Ability to meet the physical demands and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising physical therapist in delivering the plan of care for LTAC patients.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, ROM, and functional mobility tasks.
• Monitor patient responses, document progress, and communicate changes to the PT and care team.
• Support safe patient handling, transfers, positioning, and daily therapeutic activities.
• Educate patients and families on prescribed exercises, activity plans, and safety measures.
