Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for LTAC patients in Culver City, California. This 13-week travel assignment starts on 11/10/2026 with weekly pay of $1,471–$1,501 and 35 guaranteed hours per week in an 8-hour shift, 5x8 days.

You will assist the supervising PT in implementation of treatment plans, conduct therapeutic exercises, document progress, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team for discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license/certification (verification completed during hiring).
• Willingness to travel and commit to 13-week assignment.
• Ability to work in LTAC setting and handle 35 guaranteed hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising physical therapist in implementing and adjusting treatment plans for LTAC patients.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, ROM, gait training, balance, and mobility activities.
• Monitor patient responses, document progress, and communicate findings to supervising clinician.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies; ensure patient safety during sessions.
• Assist with data collection, charting, and coordination with interdisciplinary team for care and discharge planning.

• Conduct therapeutic exercises, range of motion, gait training, balance and functional mobility activities under supervision.
• Monitor patient responses, document progress, and communicate findings to the supervising clinician.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies; ensure patient safety during sessions.
• Assist with data collection, charting, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team for care planning and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a long-term acute care setting and to meet the demands of a travel assignment.
• Active licensure/certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (verification to be completed during hiring).
• Willingness to comply with the assignment’s schedule of 35 guaranteed hours per week for 13 weeks.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and to participate in a travel assignment.
