Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising physical therapist in implementing and adjusting a patient’s treatment plan for LTAC patients
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, range of motion, gait training, balance and functional mobility activities under supervision
• Monitor patient responses, document progress, and communicate findings to the supervising clinician
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies; ensure patient safety during sessions
• Assist with data collection, charting, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team for care planning and discharge planning

Requirements

• Ability to work in a long-term acute care setting and to meet the demands of a travel assignment
• Active licensure/certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (verification to be completed during hiring)
• Willingness to comply with the assignment’s schedule of 35 guaranteed hours per week for 13 weeks
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Eligibility to work in the United States and to participate in a travel assignment
