Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a hospital assignment in Sacramento, California. This travel PTA role offers a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week, day shifts, and on-site work.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans with therapists, guiding exercises, monitoring progress, educating patients and families, and documenting sessions. Candidates must complete an accredited PTA program, pass NPTE, hold CA PTA licensure, and have BLS

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited PTA program.
• Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
• CA PTA licensure/certification.
• First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended.

• Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
• Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care as needed
