Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Oakland, California. Work is 40 hours per week, days shift, at a Rehabilitation Center setting, on-site.

You will implement treatment plans under supervision, assist patients with exercises, and document progress while coordinating with the care team. Required qualifications include accredited PTA program completion, NPTE, CA PTA license, and BLS/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited PTA program.
• Pass the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
• CA PTA licensure/certification in good standing.
• First Aid/ BLS certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
