Job summary

Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a SNF assignment in Salinas, California.

This 13-week, 40-hour-per-week travel role starts 09/28/2026 and requires CA PTA licensure, accredited PTA program completion, and NPTE. On-site duties include implementing plans, guiding exercises, documenting progress, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited PTA program.
• Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
• CA PTA licensure/certification.
• First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed.
