Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute seeks a Travel Physical Therapist to evaluate and implement care plans in an acute care setting. You will supervise PTAs, bill within guidelines, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure coordinated patient care across diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of PT experience; exceptional candidates may qualify.
• BLS certification and active US PT licensure required.

• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and bend/stoop.
• Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment.

Job description

Role Overview: A travel Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing care plans for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting.

• Key Responsibilities: Supervise PTAs and support staff, bill accurately within facility guidelines, adhere to state PT regulations, collaborate with medical personnel to ensure coordinated care, assess and modify treatment plans, understand adaptive equipment, utilize medical systems, and maintain timely documentation.
• Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 6 months of experience (exceptional candidates with 6 months may qualify), BLS certification, state licensure, strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology, physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and ability to bend and stoop.
• Additional Requirements: May require additional certifications prior to assignment.
