Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate, develop, and implement care plans for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities include supervising PTAs, collaborating with medical staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, plus a valid state license and BLS, are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience (1 year preferred).
• BLS certification and state license required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lean for extended periods.

• Supervise PTAs and support staff in clinical settings.
• Bill according to facility guidelines and ensure proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with state PT board regulations.
• Collaborate with medical personnel to implement care plans.
• Assess and modify care plans based on patient progress.
• Understand adaptive equipment and its integration into care.
• Utilize medical documentation systems for patient records.
