Role Overview:

A travel Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in various healthcare settings, they develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans utilizing exercise, manual therapy, and specialized equipment. The role demands strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical conditions through tests, examinations, and history to identify limitations and treatment needs.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs aligned with patient goals.
• Administer therapy techniques to improve mobility and decrease pain, operate therapy equipment safely, and maintain documentation of evaluations and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care and optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention, and self-management strategies.
• Maintain safety standards, adhere to infection control protocols, and participate in professional development and discharge planning.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Physical Therapy license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English, PC skills, and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical ability to move and manipulate equipment, lift weights, and perform manual tasks.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.
