Job summary

Aura Health is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in hospitals or clinics, improving mobility and reducing pain. Job description

Role Overview

A travel Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in healthcare settings such as hospitals or clinics, they develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy.

Responsibilities, Qualifications & Skills
  • Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, operate therapy equipment, monitor progress, and document outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare team members, educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety protocols, and participate in quality improvement activities. Discharge planning and other duties within scope are also required.
  • Qualifications: Valid physical therapy license per state regulations and current BLS certification. A doctorate in physical therapy is preferred; new graduates are welcome. Other relevant certifications may be required.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills. Physical ability to assist with equipment and patient mobility, effective interpersonal skills, and proficiency in documentation and PC use. Ability to work under pressure, maintain professionalism, and adapt to various team members.
