American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist with 1+ years of experience and current LA licensure for a day-shift role at a children’s hospital.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license in Louisiana required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Pediatric specialty experience required.
• Experience with adaptive equipment, CP, developmental delays, milestones, orthotics, scoliosis, spina bifida and torticollis preferred.
• Proficiency in documentation including assessment, discharge planning, evaluation, plan of care and reassessments.

Responsibilities

• Pediatric Physical Therapy unit within a children’s hospital setting.
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Epic charting system used for documentation.
• Responsible for patient evaluation and administration of treatment as prescribed by attending physicians.
• May participate in student education after first year of service.
• Contributes to departmental quality improvement through inservice presentations and constructive feedback.
• Navy blue scrub color required.
• Accepts local candidates within a 75 mile radius at local rate.
• Returning LCMC permanent employees must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments.
