Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health in the United States seeks a Travel Physical Therapist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.

You will develop personalized rehabilitation plans, implement therapy techniques with specialized equipment, monitor progress, and educate patients and caregivers. Document care, ensure safety, and participate in discharge planning and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license and BLS certification required.
• Preferred Doctorate in Physical Therapy; new graduates welcome.
• Essential skills include critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop rehabilitation plans based on assessments and implement therapy techniques.
• Operate specialized equipment and monitor patient progress with adjustments as needed.

Role:

A travel Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Develops personalized rehabilitation plans based on assessments, implements therapy techniques, operates specialized equipment, monitors patient progress, and adjusts treatments accordingly. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, educates patients and caregivers on home exercises and injury prevention, maintains documentation, and adheres to safety and infection control protocols. Participates in quality improvement and professional development activities, supports discharge planning, and performs additional duties within scope of practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Valid Physical Therapy license and BLS certification are required. Preferred qualifications include a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and relevant experience, though new graduates are welcome. Essential skills include critical thinking, strong communication, technical proficiency, physical ability to perform manual tasks, and effective interpersonal skills. Must possess visual acuity and be able to work effectively under pressure, with the ability to move and handle equipment safely.
