American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting in California. Candidates must have at least 1 year of acute care PT experience and hold ACLS/BLS certification, plus Epic EMR exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience in an acute care setting.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Active CA state license required at time of consideration.
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history.
• Experience with acute care equipment including bed alarms, call lights, crutches, gait belts, Hoyer lifts, shoulder slings, sit-to-stand lifts, sliding boards, standard walkers, and wheelchairs

Responsibilities

• Acute Care Hospital unit treating adolescent and adult patients.
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Floating required.
• Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis.
• Uses Epic EMR
• Core responsibilities include documentation, assessment, evaluation, plan of care development, and reassessments
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Former employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• No time off requested within the first two weeks of the assignment; a maximum of 7 days of time off per 13-week contract is highly preferred
