Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an inpatient acute care assignment in Texas, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification. The role focuses on inpatient rehab with orthopedic and medical-surgical patients.

You will join a 6-person PT team, cover multiple facility locations, and work 7:30am-6:00pm with potential for negotiable shifts; relocation and travel support may be available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Physical Therapy experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Active state or compact (NLC) PT license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient acute care setting covering mid-level critical care, medical-surgical, and orthopedic floors, with occasional inpatient rehab evaluations and treatments.
• Primary focus (90%) on inpatient rehab unit within the hospital, with 10% on ortho and medical-surgical floors.
• Part of a 6-person PT team on weekdays, with 1-3 PTs covering weekends.
• Assignment includes a scheduled relocation between two facility locations during the contract.
• Schedule is primarily 8-5 Monday through Friday with potential negotiable shifts (4x10s or 5x8s) between 7:30am-6:00pm.
• Possible weekend coverage planned in advance during part of the assignment.
• Second half of assignment involves being the sole PT on-site at the smaller location.
• Expected caseload of 4 patients per 8-hour shift in the inpatient rehab unit, with documentation completed within shift hours.
• Unit productivity target of 22 units per 8-hour day.
• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across multiple units, including inpatient rehab, orthopedics, and medical-surgical floors.
• Works alongside a collaborative team of PTs, OTs, and SLPs.
• Standard PT documentation requirements apply within 8-hour shifts.
• Not suited for new graduates; candidates should be able to work independently with minimal guidance.
