American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist to join a hospital rehab team in Massachusetts. Requires at least 1 year in acute care, MA PT license if applicable, and BLS certification. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius eligible for travel rate considerations.

The role features a 40-hour work week with 8-hour shifts starting at 8am, weekend and holiday coverage, and a collaborative environment with nursing, physicians, and case management.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience; 2+ years preferred
• Strong patient handling and transfer technique skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration with nursing, physicians, and case management
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rehab department staffed by PT and OT providers
• Coverage across inpatient hospital floors
• Patient population from birth to elderly
• Musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical diagnoses treated
• 40-hour workweek with 5x8-hour day shifts starting at 8am
• Weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed
• Evaluate and treat inpatients as part of a collaborative rehab team
• Be flexible and self-directed in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Local candidates preferred within a 50-mile travel radius
