Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Swansea, Illinois. The PT will provide evaluation, development, and execution of plans of care for acute care patients, with 40 hours per week and rotating 8-hour shifts.

Must have 1 year of experience (6 months accepted for exceptional candidates), BLS, and state licensing. Responsibilities include supervising PTAs, billing, regulatory compliance, and documenting care across hospital systems.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience required; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must have BLS certification and state licensure.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and knowledge of anatomy/physiology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the facility according to guidelines.
• Follow state PT board rules and regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel to coordinate care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and plan of care.
• Evaluate and modify the plan of care as needed.
• Use hospital computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely documentation per guidelines.
