Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Lodi, California. The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting, with 40 hours per week on 10-hour days.

The ideal candidate will have 6 months of PT experience (exception for strong backgrounds), BLS and state licensing, and the ability to supervise PTAs and coordinate with medical staff to ensure a team-based plan of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of PT experience; new grads encouraged.
• BLS certification and active state license required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform bending/stooping.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient’s condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines
