Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Duluth, MN. This role requires 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates), BLS, and state-specific licensing.

The PT will evaluate and implement a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting. You will supervise PTAs and therapy staff, handle billing within the facility, ensure compliance with PT board rules, collaborate with medical staff, and

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• Must have BLS certification and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and modify plan of care as needed.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks and maintain timely documentation.
