Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Lawrenceville, GA, seeks a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. The PT will evaluate patients in the acute care setting, develop and implement a plan of care, and supervise supporting staff. The role requires 1 year of PT experience, BLS, and appropriate state licensing.

Assigned hours are 40 per week with day shifts; a tax-free stipend is anticipated. This position emphasizes teamwork with Medical Center staff and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification and state-specific licensing.
• 1 year of PT experience required; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• Ability to stand, walk long periods and perform PT duties in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the facility following setting guidelines.
• Adhere to state PT board regulations and policies.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to implement a team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Evaluate patients and create individualized plans of care.
• Modify plans as patient conditions change.
• Operate Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely documentation per guidelines.
