Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy
- Physical Therapy experience (new graduates welcome)
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Summary
The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, or rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent.
Essential Work Functions
- Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain
- Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of devices
- Assess progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other health professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices
- Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home settings
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
- Reading, writing, and communication proficiency in English
- Ability to read/write instructions, follow verbal instructions, and basic PC skills
- Physical Abilities – remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, bend
- Interpersonal Skills – work effectively with a variety of personnel, maintain a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/Motor Skills – fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures, operate department equipment
- Mental Requirements – handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work independently or under supervision as needed
- Sensory – visual acuity and effective communication
