Job summary

Ashton North LLC in North Charleston, SC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential to convert to permanent. The position involves travel to Mt. Pleasant, West Ashley, Goose Creek, Summerville and other SC sites, with an early start and 6am–5pm, Monday–Friday schedule.

Phlebotomy certification required for the employing state.
Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique using needles.
Understand and follow physicians' orders.
Match lab requisition forms to specimens; label, centrifuge, and prepare for transport.
Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
Answer telephone calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
