Job summary

Htprof is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in the Charleston, SC area. The role covers North Charleston and surrounding locations with travel to Mt. Pleasant, West Ashley, Goose Creek, Summerville, Walterboro.

Typical schedule is 6am–5pm, Monday to Friday, for about 3 months with potential for permanent employment. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining lab data, and ensuring specimen integrity.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, labeling, centrifuging and storing specimens.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and document results as required.
