Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Service Floater to perform daily phlebotomy at PSCs or in-office PSTs under the area supervisor. The role includes travel to client locations, accurate specimen collection, and coordination with patients and PathGroup staff to ensure timely processing.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic is preferred, and phlebotomy certification where required.

Qualifications

• Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Travel to a client assignment within a designated region on short notice.
• Greets customers and provides courteous service.
• Ensures all field patient service and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and reassure patients.
• Disposes of biohazard materials according to laws and policies.
• Enter patient and test data into Pathconnect and verify orders.
