Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential to become permanent in Merrillville, IN. The role requires traveling to multiple sites within Northwest Indiana; mileage is reimbursed and a clean driving record is needed.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws (venipuncture) and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture steps clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling.
• Store specimens per protocol and document results.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Answer calls and review laboratory results as needed.
