Top Echelon Software, LLC. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Merrillville, IN, with potential for permanent placement. The position covers multiple sites in Northwest Indiana with mileage reimbursed and a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate records. Requires state phlebotomy certification and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED
• minimum 3 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrates technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match scripts and label specimens accurately.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings.
