Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a per diem Travel Technician to support long-term care facilities across the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH area. You will travel between client sites, maintain ADS inventory records, and ensure accurate billing and compliance.

You will work independently, communicate with facility staff, perform cycle counts, and help replace expiring medications while upholding company policies and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license (as required by state regulations).
• Previous pharmacy, inventory management, or ADS experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally.
• Ability to perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned healthcare facilities throughout the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH area.
• Maintain active communication with client facility staff and pharmacy teams, primarily via email.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within each Automated Dispensing System (ADS), including medication quantities and expiration dates.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate billing.
• Replace medications that are approaching expiration to maintain compliance and patient safety.
• Perform monthly audits (cycle counts) to ensure system accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Represent SpecialtyRx professionally while onsite at client facilities.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
