Job summary

SpecialtyRx is seeking an ADU Travel Technician to support long-term care facilities across Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH. You will travel between client sites, maintain Automated Dispensing Systems (ADS) inventory, and ensure accurate records and compliant processes to help facilities stay compliant and well stocked.

The role requires independent work, strong written communication with facility staff, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license (as required by state regulations).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel locally and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Work independently under supervision.
• Travel to healthcare facilities across Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH.
• Maintain ADS inventory, including quantities and expiration dates.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate billing.
• Replace medications nearing expiration to maintain compliance and safety.
• Perform monthly ADS cycle counts to ensure system accuracy.
• Represent SpecialtyRx professionally on site.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

About the Job

We are committed to supporting healthcare facilities throughout the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH area by maintaining accurate, compliant, and efficient Automated Dispensing Systems (ADS). Our team ensures medications are readily available, properly tracked, and aligned with billing and regulatory standards.

ADU Travel Technician - Pittsburgh, PA & Eastern OH Area.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently under the direction of a supervisor.
• Travel to assigned healthcare facilities throughout the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH area.
• Maintain active communication with client facility staff and pharmacy teams, primarily via email.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within each Automated Dispensing System (ADS), including:
• Medication quantities.
• Expiration dates.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate billing.
• Replace medications that are approaching expiration to maintain compliance and patient safety.
• Perform monthly audits (cycle counts) to ensure system accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standard.
• Represent SpecialtyRx professionally while onsite at client facilities.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license (as required by state regulations).
• Previous pharmacy, inventory management, or ADS experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally.
• Ability to perform light lifting.

Schedule: Per Diem:

• Day shift (schedule may vary based on facility needs) 8am-4:30pm or 9am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
• Local travel required within the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH area.
