Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – School Nurse for a day-shift role in Montpelier, VT. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, manage health conditions, and partner with educators to support a safe learning environment.

Focus on direct care, health screenings, and coordination with families and providers. Experience in pediatrics or school health is preferred; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN accepted with pediatric or school health experience.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and health record-keeping.
• Experience in pediatrics, school health, or community health nursing.
• BLS certification required; PALS or School Health Nurse certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for acute illnesses and emergencies on campus.
• Administer medications and manage treatment schedules for students.
• Coordinate health screenings, immunization records, and referrals per state standards.
• Educate students, families, and staff on health promotion and hygiene.
• Document visits, treatments, and incident reports in EHR and logs.
• Collaborate with local health departments, primary care providers, and families to coordinate care.
