Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – School Nurse for a day-shift assignment in Montpelier, VT. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, manage acute and chronic conditions, perform health screenings, and work with educators and families to promote a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred.
• ADN accepted with school health or pediatric experience.
• Active Vermont RN license (compact license acceptable) and BLS required.
• PALS or School Health Nurse certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care & Triage: provide high-quality nursing care for acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies on campus.
• Medication & Care Plans: administer medications, oversee treatment schedules, manage IHPs for students with chronic conditions.
• Health Screenings & Compliance: coordinate immunization records and health screenings; manage referrals per state standards.
• Education & Promotion: educate students, families, and staff on health promotion and hygiene practices.
• Documentation: maintain accurate documentation in EHR and school health logs.
• Community Collaboration: liaise with health departments and providers to coordinate care and vaccination compliance.
