American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a PICU RN for a travel assignment in Chicago, IL. You must hold an active IL RN license and have pediatric ventilator care experience.

The assignment starts 01/19/2026 for 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. This inpatient unit serves children from 2 weeks to 18 years with high technology dependence and 1:3–4 patient ratios. Meditech EMR is used; no on-call required.

Qualifications

• IL RN license active in hand (compact licenses not accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience.
• Current BCLS and PALS certifications.
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and G tubes.
• Experience with Meditech EMR.
• Experience with a 1:4 patient ratio.
• Flu vaccination required unless exempt for medical or religious reasons.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a PICU within a children’s hospital.
• Care for patients aged 2 weeks to 18 years with high technology dependence.
• Maintain typical patient ratios of 1:3–4; prior 1:4 experience required.
• Shifts are 12 hours, days, 36 hours per week.
• Floating within scope may be required to meet unit needs.
• Meditech EMR documentation is used for charting.
• No on-call requirements.
