Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics PACU - Post Anesthetic Care for a travel nursing job in Charlottesville, Virginia.

This assignment runs 18 weeks at 36 hours per week, with a 12-hour night shift. The PACU RN will provide post-anesthesia care, monitor for adverse reactions, and develop patient care plans.

ACLS, BLS, PALS and 1–2 years of acute care experience preferred; travel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, 2 Years

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post-op patients as they recover from surgical anesthesia.
• PACU travel nurses monitor patients for adverse reactions and ensure timely reporting to the physician.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient’s condition and recovery progress.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to transfer to a room.
