Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a night shift in a Level II Trauma Center in the Pacific Northwest. The role requires pediatric PACU experience, active RN licenses, and Epic EMR proficiency.

You will float between PACU, CV recovery, and short stay units, performing perioperative recovery care for diverse surgical cases. The position includes high pay, comprehensive benefits, and travel-related support.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• OR RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience likely required depending on experience level
• Skills in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including peripheral line care and blood product administration
• Proof of permanent address required for radius verification

Responsibilities

• PACU unit within a Level II Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float required within scope to CV recovery, PACU, and short stay unit as acute care or sitter
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide perioperative recovery care to surgical patients including plastics, genitourinary/renal, and orthopedic cases
• Experience with continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) and TURP procedures relevant to caseload
• Experience with IV insulin protocols for endocrine/metabolic patients
• Familiarity with rapid response and code team protocols
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Maximum of 7 total days of requested time off allowed during the 13-week assignment
