Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatric ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Worcester, MA. You will provide high-quality emergency care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure safety and positive outcomes.

The role requires 1 year of pediatric ER experience, valid RN licensure, BLS, and PALS/ENPC certification. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included for a dedicated traveler.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Pediatric ER RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families in an age-appropriate manner.
• Administer prescribed and emergent medications and treatments per pediatric nursing protocols.
• Prepare and operate pediatric emergency equipment; assist physicians during treatments and exams.
• Ensure comfort and safety of pediatric patients in emergency settings.
• Perform pediatric vital sign assessments and respond to deviations.
• Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies (respiratory distress, trauma, cardiac arrest).
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Collaborate with families to implement care plans for pediatric patients.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance pediatric care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.
