Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatric ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Mesa, AZ. The role involves delivering comprehensive emergency care to children, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and upholding high standards of patient safety.

Qualified candidates have 1 year of Pediatric ER experience, an active RN license, and current BLS; PALS or ENPC is required. This position offers strong benefits and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Pediatric ER RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families in an age-appropriate manner.
• Administer prescribed and emergent medications and treatments per pediatric protocols.
• Prepare and operate pediatric emergency equipment and assist physicians.
• Ensure the comfort and safety of pediatric patients in the emergency setting.
• Perform pediatric vital sign assessments using Broselow tape and respond to deviations.
• Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies such as respiratory distress or trauma.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Collaborate with families to develop and implement care plans for pediatric patients.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance pediatric care.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to safety protocols.
