Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of radiologic equipment experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week travel contract in Oregon.
Details
- Pediatric cardiac catheterization lab setting within a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital
- Pediatric and congenital heart procedure patient population
- Procedures include cardiac catheterization, EP, and hybrid OR cases involving adult and congenital interventions
- Responsibilities: circulating, operating imaging equipment (fluoroscopy and ultrasonography), and scrubbing in with the physician
- Uses automatic injectors, contrast agents, stents, balloons, and wires under physician direction
- Charting in Epic (experience required)
- 4x10 day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- On-call required; weekend work required only when on call
- Cross‑training to additional service areas such as EP or Hybrid OR may be required
- No floating within the hospital, though candidates may be asked to float to a nearby affiliate facility—refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
- Local candidates are accepted
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registration requiredActive Oregon Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license required (pending license accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board); license required if applicable
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two supervisor or manager references from within the last 24 months required for consideration
- COVID vaccination proof required — no exemptions
- Pediatric experience preferred
- RCIS or RCES (Cardiac Interventional or Vascular Interventional) certification preferred
- EP/Cath Lab technologist knowledge and skills preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Additional Information
- First‑time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the OHSU manager who supervised them
- Candidates must be gone a minimum of 6 months before returning as a traveler at this facility
- RTO must be noted at time of submission and is limited to a maximum of 2 weeks
- Scrubs are provided for OR use — no printed scrub patterns
- Parking is available at a cost of $16 per day
